One of the services I offer is photobooks - a unique publication of my models in all their splendour. There are so many different types of book products out there from the cheap and cheerful to the high-end glossy books on the best quality papers. It can sometimes become a bewildering choice. We've just got back from a lovely week spent (mostly) on the beaches of Northumbria. Quiff and Twiggy, whilst not appreciating the long car journey to get there, love playing in the sand. Twiggy especially has a taste for running - probably from her days on the track. Anyway the camera gear always comes along with us and I thought I'd try my hand at some very different beach shots. Today was spent at Elizabeth Smiths Vets in Upper Caldecote at their open day. Shared a stand with Julie Daniels from Thinking Paws (www.thinkingpaws.co.uk) in the Bedfordshire sunshine (well ok it wasn't all that sunny and only got rained on a couple of times. It was very windy though which caused not a little concern about the gazebo.The day was one of micro sessions, which were short duration portrait shots. Back in May 17 my then website provider - Zenfolio - wrote to me to tell me that they were going to introduce a 7% charge on all sales that went through their shopping cart. Whilst I understand that everyone has to make some money somewhere I'm a believer that you really should do something to earn your crust. Plus I would have had to increase all my prices by about 10% just to stand still which I wasn't happy with. Therefore I started to look around for a new website provider. ......

Yesterday involved a trip to Finedon to meet Olly and his Mum Tab - and her Dad! The photoshoot location was challenging as we were in a small wood with a fairly full canopy. Thankfully the trusty 1DX II came into its own allowing me to ramp up the ISO to capture those all important movement images without motion blur.
